Goldsmiths CCA Studio Visit

A studio visit to the recently opened Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art in South East London where the former tanks of a Victorian swimming pool have been converted by architects Assemble, into a variety of exhibition spaces. The attention to detail and precision of the execution beautifully displays the palimpsest of this building.  A variety of apparently 'found' textural finishes are curated or pared back to allow a space which does not compete with the art exhibited within it, but holds its own as a strong aesthetic, a building proud of its past.
